Being Part of Georgia State Of Hope Initiative brings our community together to activate non-profits, philanthropies, government, business and the community together to collaborate closely to build local safety nets that will prevent conditions that attribute to disparities in education, threaten a family’s self-sufficiency and lead to child abuse and neglect. Family Patterns Matter understands the importance of looking at the impact living in poverty has on children. Our hope is through this initiative our community will come together where all walks of life share a vision of safety and success for every child, family and individual who lives in our community. The result will be children are safer, families are stronger and our community is supportive with opportunities for all to thrive.
According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Georgia ranks 40th in addressing health issues 36th in economic well being, 37th in Education, 39th in Family and Community. We want to improve these statistics in our community. It starts with the children. To do this we must support parents in creating a home environment where everyone is thriving. We have to define the problem that keeps them stuck. Understanding how the residents feel about the community and how active they are is important for a child’s well being. When children thrive a community thrives. Family Patterns Matter is a Georgia State of Hope site.
